MoD COCK UP AGAIN!

Another day, another cock up. Yet again the MoD has come under fire, this time for losing thousands (3,900 to be exact) state of the art Bowman digital communications systems- or to put it another way, 11 per cent of the total handed out to our troops, have magically disappeared.

The £2.4 billion radio system was introduced in 2007 to replace the 30 year old Clansman.

Tomorrow, MP's from a cross party Committee will publish a report into the MoD's accounts, which will express grave concern as to whose hands these radio's have fallen into. It is said to be likely that they have landed in the hands of Taliban soldiers, and could potentially be used against our troops.

The Committee rightly said that MoD's complete failure to do the basic job of keeping track of the radio's had "the potential to threaten the long term capability of the department, including operational capability."

The MoD, being their usual, lying self's, tried to explain away their incompetence by saying that the unaccounted radio's were being repaired or being redeployed.

As if that were not enough, the committee also found that a new computer system for calculating pay and allowances had wrongly paid £268 million while another £38 million was mistakenly deducted from our troops' food and accommodation charges.

This department needs a complete overhaul. Far too often we hear of grave mistakes, or of our soldiers losing out so that the bureaucrats in the MoD can receive huge bonuses. The National Front would see to it that the MoD becomes an efficient and competent department,

MOD GIVE MORE COMPENSATION TO FRIGHTENED CHICKENS THAN IT DOES WOUNDED SOLDIERS

On Monday , defence chiefs came under fire after it was revealed that they had paid £42,000 to a farmer whose chickens were so frightened by the Red Arrows they laid fewer eggs than normal.

It has been revealed that around £7.6 million has been paid in damages after pitiful complaints about noisy military aircraft. What make this story worse is the fact that while MoD are throwing money at people who don’t really deserve compensation, horrifically wounded soldiers are fighting tooth and nail to get barely a fraction of the amount of compensation for their injuries.

The Sun revealed by using the Freedom of Information Act, that defence chiefs gave an egg farmer from Staffordshire £42,000. They gave a further £52,000 to someone who "suffered" Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because of low flying jets on exercise in Devon. The MoD also gave a staggering £117,000 in compensation to a person in Yorkshire whose racehorse injured itself after being spooked by jets.

Now compare this to Trooper Sean Chance, 23, of the Queens Royal Hussars, who received a mere £5,000 after having part of his foot blown off with the loss of three toes by a rocket propelled grenade in Iraq in 2004. Despite hi being in constant pain and suffering greatly he received just £1,500 for the damage to his foot and less than £4,000 for Post Traumatic Stress- Bare in mind that the above case from Devon, who “suffered” from Post Traumatic Stress because of some jets flying over head got £52,000. How is it justifiable that a soldier got £48,000 less than the random from Devon?

Sean, from Birmingham, said: "There's no justice. I must live like this for the rest of my life. I should have gone into chicken farming."

Sergeant Darren Stephens, 37, from Leeds, suffered horrific injuries to his leg and arms in a mortar attack in Basra, Iraq in 2007. He was paid £60,100 for his injuries, increased to £102,000 after compensation payouts. This is £15,000 less than the bloody racehorse got.

This is not the first time when people who don’t deserve compensation get more than our wounded soldiers.

Back in 2008, it was revealed that a former paratrooper who had a sex change operation received a huge £250,000 compensation payout for hurt feelings. He received the horrific injury of hurt feelings when he was summoned to attend a medical in male uniform. When Ian ( now known as Jan) Hamilton refused to attend the interview he found himself out of a job, and he demanded compensation for “sexual discrimination” and “unfair dismissal”. At the end of the day, no matter how much surgery he gets he will always be a man, so wearing male uniform shouldn’t of been that big of a deal, and most definitely wouldn’t of traumatised him. He claims that it would have been “humiliating and demeaning” to do a medical dressed in a male uniform. For this MoD deemed it worthy to give this freak of nature a quarter of a million pounds of taxpayers money, when the MoD cant even equip our soldiers properly and are given a fraction of Ian’s compensation to soldiers who have really suffered .

The twisted values of our ultra-liberal government who are obsessed with political correctness can be summed up by the fact that “according to current MoD settlements, soldiers receive £57,000 for the loss of a leg and £285,000 for the loss of both arms and legs.” ( Reference: Daily Telegraph) If you are a soldier and put your life on the line for your country and lose a limb you get £57,000, but if you are transsexual officer and are asked to were a male uniform, and you get hurt feelings, you receive a quarter of a Million.

We need to kick the traitors out of Westminster and Whitehall, and readjust the moral compose of this country back to where it should be.

INDEFENSIBLE: SOLDIERS LACK EQUIPMENT WHILE PEN PUSHERS RECEIVE £300 MILLION IN BONUSES.

As British soldiers die in Afghanistan because of lack of equipment, the civil servants who are responsible have received £300 million in bonuses.

These pen pushers have seen “good performance” payments double. They won extra cash for hitting targets for enforcing the multicultural agenda and improving health and safety within their department.

Let me put this in prospective for a second. There is a case of two Mandarins who have received £17,000 each, this is more than a year’s basic pay for a soldier risking his life in Helmand. This is insane. While these civil servants are getting overly generous bonuses, soldiers on the battlefield of Iraq and Afghanistan are screaming out to the Government to stop putting their lives at risk, who have scrimped on military essentials including telescopes, radios and night goggles.

I can tell you this for nothing, that when I first heard about this it made my blood boil. While it is no secret that I believe that our troops should be pulled out of this needless war, and should only be used for British interests, I also believe that while our boys are over their they should be equipped to the hilt. This money could have been used to refit six desperately needed Chinook Troop Carrying Helicopters, which have been confined to their hangers and have been there since 2001 after a massive MoD contact blunder.

Shaun Rusling, Vice chairman of the National Gulf Veterans and Families Association said last night:

“This is disgusting, the sums beggar belief. Surely the government can see it would be better to spend this money on kit for our troops rather than lining the pockets of bureaucrats.”

Lets again look at the figures. The lowest paid private in Afghanistan is paid £16,681 on basic pay. Some 13,000 troops are paid less than £17,000 for risking their lives while those two mandarins got £17,000 bonus for doing a little office work.

I think this is a massive kick in the teeth for our soldiers.

There is no justification for such huge payouts, while our troops die because lack of funding to buy equipment. Even if the MoD was run efficiently, which it isn’t, people would still question why these pen pushers are receiving ridiculously high bonuses.

Lets be honest, its not like these guys need the extra money- they work in an overstaffed ministry, whose 89,000 employers enjoy extremely handsome salaries and enviable job security and pension rights…. Oh, and MoD is well known for being the worst run ministry in Whitehall.

There has been report after report condemning these parasites- I mean bureaucrats- for putting soldiers lives at risk by presiding over huge cost cutting overruns and endless delays in procuring equipment.

These parasites- sorry, I mean bureaucrats- no way in hell deserve this money… they have fought tooth and nail to cut compensation to soldiers hideously wounded in Afghanistan, often because of lack of equipment.
